Mr President Eisenhower. In this photo of Mr President they try to show that he is a well dressed in control man. He also makes you think he is friend with his firm smile but still in control and on top of things. The type of magazine is life which still is in the stores today. They also have the photo black and white but the life symbol and a border below with writing in bright red which I think sticks out to grab the readers atteintion when they are buying a magazine. Now I am going to tell you about how they took this picture and at the end I will tell why they took the picture like that. Because each picture is taken in a way for a reason and the photographer uses three main things steps and those are The Camera Angle, Lighting and Proximity. These three things make you feel a different way for every picture you see. And below I'll explain how this picture was taken.

The Camera angle in this picture is below the subject to make you feel like he's the boss and bigger than but than a again he was the boss back when he was the President. The lighting in the picture is sufficient because you can full see his face and there are no shadows on his body but it is hard to see his suit but that's because it's black in a black and white picture. Also there no shadows around him. The proximity of the picture is medium long because you are able to see from his waist and above but not his legs or feet. Even his clothes matter and he has a nice expensive problaby tailored suit which costs a lot of money but it makes him look strong and like he is the boss. I would try and tell you where he is from his background but I can't because it is blured so it doesn't matter to the reader so most likely he is in a studio with a back drop. Over all I think they took this picture of him to make you feel like he is the boss and he is in full control and in power but still he is your friend and cares about the people.
